~ What ~
Made of sturdy black metal, plastic, and rubber, this product magnetically holds a smartphone or GPS unit to a car’s dashboard or window. Measuring approximately 1.3 by 1.3 by 1.5 inches, it weights a little over 4 ounces. The unit can be rotated 360 degrees so the viewer can adjust it the best way. ~ Why ~
With Oregon implementing a no-touch, only-swipe law recently, my husband needs a car mount to access his cell phone. I like that it can be secured quickly to any dashboard and adjusted to a perfect viewing position by rotating it. Attaching the magnet to up to 3 phones makes them easy to slip on or slip off the holder. Another plus is it can be removed and taken anywhere due to its compact round size. I was impressed with the solidness and weight of the mount; it is sturdy and not flimsy.

~ Why Not ~
Since I have a car with built-in Bluetooth for my smartphone, I do not need this unit, but it is a great accessory for traveling or vacationing, especially if you use GPS. Others may worry the unit will scratch the dashboard or the phones, but it adheres with 3M tape that does not ruin the car’s interior or the back side of the phone (the magnet can be slipped between a phone and case too).

~ Wish ~
Since the unit is only available in black, having other colors to match a vehicle’s interior may be thoughtful.
