This Aycean Chair Mat for Hard Wood Floors is a great idea. I mean, you can get the kind with the spikes on the bottom to use with carpeting, but that doesn't work on hard floors, of course. This has a type of grid on the bottom that helps hold it and keep it from slipping. It comes rolled up, so takes a bit to straighten it out and get it to relax. If you look at the listing, it gives instructions on how to install it. Overall it's a nice mat.
