Lighter colors show wear/dirt.I purchased these headphones for my daughter. She was very happy with them, so I am happy with them. I purchased them over 6 months ago and they are still going strong. I like the fact that they are foldable, so you can toss in your purse or backpack and go. They come with a 3.5mm audio cable so you can listen to them while they are charging if you want to. Overall, these are fantastic headphones and have lasted longer than some more expensive ones that I have purchased in the past.
