There is 48 color pencils. There is also a paintbrush included.  These color pencils are perfect for adult coloring books .  The color pencils come in a sturdy cylinder.  My only issue is that the pencils break easily.  I had a handful that were broken on delivery.  My son said hes had to sharpen them a lot.
