It’s always great to have adapters whenever you’re connecting to external monitors and you don’t have the proper cable to plug into the MacBook Pro. My laptop only has the HDMI port, but not DVI or VGA port.
I connected the laptop to my brand new Sony X900E 55 inches using the adapter, even though I can plug in the HDMI port directly and everything works, sound and picture quality as well. This morning my dad was having issues with his computer and I tried my laptop by plugging in the VGA into the adapter. Screen shows and haven't had any issues.
Only thing is that you can only run one screen at a time with the adapter, so don't think that just because there’s three outputs, doesn't mean that it works 3 different screens, doesn't work like that!
