This surge protector has every function needed. I use it in my kitchen to plug in my coffee maker, alexa, my cell phone when charging, and also I plug the extension cord into it and run it outside when I need to power external appliances. The night light on this comes on automatically when the light gets below a certain level, it is just bright enough to light up the area without it being overwhelming which is helpful for middle of the night bottle refills!
