Very sticky adhesive but too stiff for confirming

I'm not sure about this tape. The adhesive seems quite sticky but the stiffness seem too much to confirm to things. On a smooth straight surface it would probably be great but when you try to use over a fitting and pipe I can't see this working well. Admitting I have used it yet but common sense is speaking to me. On a piece of drain pipe without contour should be no problem but most leaks are at a joint or a curved area. Because I have not used it yet it's still uncertain but I had to go with my gut feeling on this one. Judge for yourself and give it a try. It will most likely be of good use on something like a flat surface.
