I have two large dogs - an English Mastiff and an Aussie/Pit cross. Both are short haired dogs, but they shed a lot during the summer months, and it gets REALLY hot here. I am always looking for things to help them shed their winter coats and help control the hair during the summer months. I needed the two different grooming gloves in this set. And I have seen the distraction devices in various videos online, so was excited to get to try it out with my dogs to see if it helped. This set will hopefully be a great addition to my collection of pet products and grooming tools.   The set comes with two gloves that have silicone spikes on one side and breathable mesh everywhere else. Most of the time when you buy grooming gloves you only get one and it is either left or right. They don't have velcro attachments on the wrists to keep them in place like most grooming gloves, but instead have elastic bands. I worry that the elastic may stretch out and make it difficult to keep them on, especially since the elastic is already a little larger than my wrists. I have to watch how I pet the dogs with them because I can easily pull my hand right out of them.   But they work great to pull the hair loose and trap it in the gloves while you are petting your dogs. The minute our dogs see us grab the gloves they get excited and come running. It is amazing how much hair I get off of them, even petting them with these grooming gloves a few times per week.   The lick pad distraction device was what I was most interested in trying out though. Like I said, I have seen a lot of videos of people successfully bathing their dogs with no struggle because they are kept occupied by the lick pad smeared with peanut butter. Neither of my dogs are hard to bathe. They don't fight us while we are doing it. They simply push to keep their heads over the edge of the tub, their chest against the side. I figured with something like this, maybe they wouldn't drip over the edge of the tub on to the floor and I could spend the time bathing them rather than pushing them back constantly.   Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. It stuck to the wall perfectly, no problems. I smeared it with peanut butter, which they normally love, but neither one of them wanted to lick it while being bathed. They were more concerned with the bath itself. I kept trying to point it out and they would sniff it, but the minute I started in with bathing them, they ignored it entirely. Nothing I did would get them to lick it. I finally had to just let them lick it after I was done drying them off, after they had gotten their zoomies running done (they are always so excited after their bath that they run laps and bounce).   Might work for some, but not so good for my dogs. The grooming brushes work okay, but I fear they will stretch out around the wrists too much and be useless to me. And the lick pad did no good for my dogs at all. I should have passed on this set.   #RankBoosterReview #sponsored #Gyeuel #groominggloves #grooming #doggrooming #dogbath #dogbathdistraction #pethair #petcomb #dogcomb #dogbrush #doghair
