Zoweetek Superspeed 3-Port USB 3.0 Hub with Gigabit Ethernet Adapter
Got this as part of my ‘makeshift’ docking station to be able to set up my laptop in a desktop environment like some of the other items I’ve gotten. I wanted to expand the number of USB slots since I do use them a lot and often I just never have enough slots for everything
So I ordered this and it came pretty quickly. It was also packaged fairly secure and tight in it’s box, which is always nice so that it doesn’t shift around during shipping much.
I do like the feel to the device with the nice aluminium casing on the hub. Cord is a nice length as well and it feels sturdy. For the price, this does feel like a high quality product.
I plugged it in and had no issues at all and it was able to detect anything that I put on it. My only ‘complaint’ is that there isn’t a power source for the adapter for high power devices so I fear that I may run into a problem over time when I start using it more often. However, just for the basic testing of it, it seems to have no issues at all. All the ports work.
I can’t comment on the ethernet port since I don’t have access to the router directly to plug it in, I did mainly get this simply for the USB 3.0 ports to expand my current setup.
Overall I am pleased with it, despite my one complaint. It feels nice and sturdy and it gets the job done that I want to use it for.
