I was unable to personally review this item, I have a galaxy s7 and it is not compatible with my phone. This is not a product issue, I did not realize at the time of purchase. This does work great, I had a friend who had the Samsung Galaxy S8 and they used my charging block and it charged their phone very quicky. It seems like a very sturdy cord that will not easily be damaged and is ample length to use while charging.
