This is a safety hand grip bar for the bath or shower. It is 24 inches long and about 1.3 inches in diameter. It is rated for 500 pounds, which, of course, depends on the strength of the mounting to the tiled wall. It comes with mounting hardware (anchors and screws), but you may need to replace the plastic anchors with a different type depending on where and what type of wall you plan to mount it on. If mounting on tiled wall, you will need to acquire a set of tile drills (preferably diamond).
We decided to have our local handyman install it for us, it will give us peace of mind. If you are getting older (like us), you will really like this bar.
