I got these for the grand kids and they seem to work great. The 3 year old has a little trouble with them but the 7 year old loves them. We haven't tried them for any great distance but they work well a few yards apart. They are cute and make a great gift. We haven't had them long and they look a little fragile so I'm a little worried about longevity but hopefully they'll last until the kids not longer have an interest in them.
