I was surprised to open the box and find a heavy-duty tool instead of a lightweight gimmick. This is a real pump that takes three AAA batteries and can blow up balls and I suppose other inflatables as well. My granddaughter plays with balls that could use more air all the time and now I can fix that for her and give her all the extra bounces she needs. I love this and I'm very happy to have it.
