These candles were a gift for my daughter for her new home. They are even better than expected and she is thrilled with them. I bought her the double AA batteries that she needed to go with the candle set, They come with watch batteries for two of the candles and needed 2 double AA batteries for the remaining 7 candles. We installed the batteries and she quickly showed me how easy it was to operate the candles with the remote control. They are really pretty. We did find that after we turned off the candles with the remote control if you pick them up and bump them down on the table, they will turn themselves on again, so be sure to turn the candles off with the switch on the base. We really love the ambiance these candles give her new home, they are exactly what she wanted.
