very small

I pack lunches for my family and like the bento style boxes although I don't really pack the traditional bento boxes. I like that this box has a removable insert so I can customize the box to fit the contents I intend on using in it. The description states that this is a lunch box but it is really, really small. It only measures one-and-one-half inches deep, six inches long and four inches wide so it is more of a snack box for my husband. The lid on my box was quite scratched up when I received it but I believe that happening during storage or shipping because it was only wrapped in a plastic bag and not a protective box. 

The product description states that the box is made from wheat straw but it feels different from the other wheat straw boxes and dishware that I already have. It is much lighter and thinner than the other wheat straw items that I have. It is very lightweight and portable. The insert does not comes all the way up to the lid so when using it to separate different foods, the contents may get mixed up if the box gets turned on its side. The insert also will not stop liquids from going into the other section so it can only be used to separate solid foods. The box has been leakproof and water tight so far. As with all other wheat straw products, I hand wash and dry them so the heat from the dishwasher does not damage them. There is not a lot of information on the product page and no documentation came with the box so I am not sure if this box is dishwasher, freezer or microwave safe.
