This cup holder was well made from quality materials and the concept was a nice idea, however, when your stickshift is not on the wheel but to the right of the seat, this cup holder gets in the way and puts your phone right next to the stick shift so you can't just reach to change gears, you will grab the cup holder with the phone at the same time. Dangerous hazard. I also could not get the holder to stay firm in the cup holder. You are supposed to be able to twist the base to get it to be secure, but it doesn't stay firm and after driving for a bit, especially on bumpy roads, it loosens and your phone is leaning at an angle and the phone mount cup holder is loose again and not stable.
What this MAY be good for is if the kids want to watch something on my phone I can put it in the back holder with my phone facing them but it still doesn't stop the phone mount from not staying secure. Too bad, I had high hopes for this one.
