Velcro is very strong. There are multiple compartments. 

The bag is a very nice size. Could easily fit quite a bit inside. 

The smell-proof feature seems to work rather well. I've had some reasonably stinky contents and I've had zero odor emission from the bag.

All compartments are sealed with Velcro.
