I got this for my grand daughter for car trips. It works very well. Pieces stay in place. The size is perfect for the car. It folds neatly, storing all the pieces within. She plays checkers now but when she learns to play chess it has chess pieces as well. You can also play backgammon on it, but she doesn't like that yet! It is a great way to keep her occupied and off her phone and table during trips and at home.
