These bulbs are very realistic and give the look of a real gas light, while using only 3 to 5 watts of electricity (less then a nightlight bulb). They flicker just like a real flame and the color is quite realistic. They have a standard E26 base (a regular lightbulb base) and will operate on any voltage from 100 to 265 Volts AC. The magic is accomplished by using a whole array of LEDs within the transluscent dome. They have a lifespan of 25000 hours (about 3 years of constant use) and have a 3 year guarantee. By using then in the evenings, they should last well past the warranty period.
Please note: if used in outdoor fixtures, make sure they do not get wet as they are not waterproof. This is a nice pair at a really good price.
