I have been using cotton swab to clean my ears which is not recommended. By pushing the swab in, you might push wax and debris further into the ear canal. The spun cotton might come loose and stay inside the ear; and also if the cotton is too thin, it's almost like sticking a plastic tube into your ear and it HURTS (yes it happened to me).
This ear cleaner system is new to me and I am happy to give it a try. The packaging is very professional. It comes with 16 soft silisone replacement tips. Since they are silicone I believe you can wash with soapy water and reuse them. The tip is very soft and pliable and it does not hurt at all. Just slowly insert into your ear (don't push), and follow the arrow indicated on the handle and turn slowly. You might not feel it is doing anything but once you take it out and look, you know it did something... (I will spare you the AFTER photos...)
Does it complete remove all the wax? No it doesn't. If you feel there is heavy wax built-up or foreight object in your ear, or having hearing loss, it's best to go to your doctor to flush your ears. Otherise I think this kit is a better option to cotton swab. It is easy to use, even children can do it themselves.
