This is a great telescope for a child just beginning to explore. I got it for my 10 year old and he has really loved it. My husband has helped him but he has been able to learn everything pretty fast and easi;y with this one. It is very lightweight, easy to use and seems to be really clear. He has enjoyed going out at night and looking at the moon and stars. If you are looking for a beginner then this one will be great.
