When I go to the nail salon they always use foil and cotton balls, I tried that at home and made a giant mess! These are awesome, you can easily just use a cotton square or ball soaked in polish removal and clip them on. You can leave them on for 10 or 15 minutes and depending on the polish it comes off pretty easily.
