Description is decieving i thought that they were mixing bowls. More like soup bowl or cereal bowls. Otherwise they are nice bowls just not for mixing love that they stack together, are lightweight and , can go in the dishwasher, and don't have to worry about my children breaking them. Perfect addition to my kitchen. These should also be listed as ICE CREAM BOWLS!!! We use these all the time for ice cream and they are the best. We actually left our ice cream in one of these bowls for nearly an hour and it still hadn't melted. Using a normal ceramic bowl, our ice cream would be melted in about 15 minutes. Since we have small kids and get interrupted when we eat often, these bowls have totally changed our ice cream eating enjoyment. No one seems to describe these as Ice Cream bowls and so I went out on a whim when I got them, but we haven't regretted it and we are telling all our friends about them.
