In a plastic world of shoddy, this product stands solid like a rock. The seat belt buckle (and dog harness) connectors are high quality metal that promise a long lifetime. The web straps similarly are high quality material, with the added feature of elastic inserts to moderate the force of sudden stops or starts. The only problem I encountered was an inability to shorten the adjustable straps enough to secure Rutherford as snugly as I'd like. I'll take a closer look and explore for a homemade solution. Overall great buy and I highly recommend.
