These mats are a dream because I hate scrubbing the grill after using it. We use a rubber brush so we either have to clean it before we use it or after it cools. The mats DO HAVE A TEMPERATURE maximum so please read your directions. All of the reviews you see of people melting their mats are because they grilled higher than 450-500 degrees. It has nothing to do with the mat quality...So don't cook steaks on these (If you're like me and cook steaks at high temperatures).
I cooked marinated pock chops on these and none of the sticky marinade got on my grill grates. I thought that the mats were going to be a pain to wash but with just a little soap and warm water the charring came right off and there was no damage to the mat.
My ONLY quam is that the mats don't breath enough to let the grill marks get on your meat, but with porkchops and chicken, which I marinate in mayonaise, it's worth it to not have to scrub that goo off my grill after cooking.
