not a solid band

I was pretty disappointed when I received this ring. I ordered a size 9 but what I received was more like a size 7. I also did not like that the band is not solid as shown in the product photo. It has a cut similar to the rings that come out of the bubble gum machines for kids. The purpose of the cut is to allow for adjustment of the ring size but when I did that to open the ring, the prongs stick up and the band started to dig into my finger. Sadly, I wanted to love this ring but it is just not a quality piece. I am going to give this ring to my daughter to use to wear while playing dress up.
