These solar spotlights are designed to install either with ground stakes or screwed to outside wall, fence, eave, etc. Each light is powered by a rechargable lithium 18650 battery (3.7V 2200 mAh) which is included and pre-installed. The battery charges during the sunlight of the day and powers the light at night. The battery will last for about 1.5 years, after which you can replace it with another lithium 18650 using only a small screw driver.
They have 2 lighting levels, low and high. On high level, they put out 350 lumens, about the same as a 60 watt incandescent spotlight. These are 7-LED lights and illuminate far better than others with only 4 LEDS (like the ones we are replacing). On low, the battery will power the light for 9-12 hours, on high for 5-6 hours.
We are using them with the included ground stakes to light our landscaping. They work great and we may be reordering more. As Winter is approaching, we are not sure how they will hold up in freezing weather, suspect the batteries will not work as efficiently and we may need to bring the lights in over the winter. Only time will tell.
