Luckily my granddaughter is small for her age and also shouldn’t need it much longer but if she does the legs are adjustable and doesn’t seem very sturdy. It does have a straight shot for urine to go into the toilet. No ridges, pads or other moving parts near where the urine will be. The inner seal hangs a bit lower than the toilet seat, so no urine goes onto the toilet seat
