I was surprised that this was such a great drill given the lower price range it was offered in. I like the fact that it was nicely presented and comes with its own carrying case. The battery arrives semi-charged, but needs to be fully charged to have the tool work well and for a nice period of time. Lots of accessories come with it, and they also offer a nice magnetized bracelet that you can wear while working and it will collect the bits and screws and whatever you're working with so you don't lose them. You get TWO batteries with this unit, so once one is charged up, do the second one so you'll always have power. I usually leave the battery I plan to use charging up over night just to make sure it's fresh and at a full charge. So far I haven't used it often enough to fully discharge the batteries, but I'm sure that will come with time. The only thing I found was that it takes more than the recommended time for the batteries to completely charge up (6-7 hours is what we found). Customer service from the company is excellent. They addressed my concerns immediately and made me a completely satisfied customer!
