In hindsight I would have purchased the clamp type device instead of paste only due to a lack of any flat surface in my car where I would want the phone located. Every last bit is rounded so not condusive to a holder of this type, However, just because it says "Car" doesn't mean it hasen't been put to good use in my home. It now is being used on my home office desk and I love it. Being able to keep my phone charged while working without extra cords everywhere is really nice.
