I bought over 4 knife sharpeners over the last 3 months because they weren't getting my chefs knife sharp. This one is compact and works great. The others I purchased only had the ceramic slot which was for fine sharpening. I like that this has 2 slots, the one for coarse sharpening then the fine for a nice finish. I highly recommend this sharpener.
