So I purchased these, not really expecting much. I mean really they are just another set of Telescoping Marshmallow Sticks and not only that they are made in China, no offense China, but usually when I see that my quality expectations aren't that high. These are the exception to that rule. Let's start with the tips, so yes they are pointed, but not in the normal center-point sharp-javelin-like-I-can-spear-anything-way. The point on these is set to the side and is more of a blunted tip. It is sharp enough to get a marshmallow on but you'd have to work hard to pierce human skin, which is a huge plus for those of us with kids or husbands who think they are still kids! The telescoping stick is strong and pulls out smoothly even at it's full extension it doesn't feel weak and flimsy which is what I was worried about. The handle is a very comfortable silicone handle. And they are stored in a great cloth bag. These are by far my favorite new camping tool this year!
