You can take this nightlight anywhere and use it for many things. The light itself is rechargeable with the enclosed USB cord. Or it can be run off 3 AAA batteries. It sits  and rocks and pivits inside a magnetic cradle that has a sticky foam pad you can use to mount it anywhere. You can turn it on or let it set on auto where the sensor that kicks on for a set amount of time once it is dark. There is another switch to control the brightness of the light.
