Didn't Work At All

I really hate leaving negative reviews, but there's nothing else I can do with this one.  The splitter absolutely just did not work for me.  I even made sure to remove my phone case to make sure it was plugged in all the way and nice and tight.  But when I plugged my Apple Earphones to the splitter, the sound came through the phone speaker rather than the earphones, as if I had no earphones plugged in.  I tried and tried. I removed it and replugged it many times.  It just wouldn't work.  Perhaps I happened to get a defective one.
