I got these for my daughter. She is in second grade. You can see the text clearly through the overlays. The smaller ones are good for standard text and the larger ones are good for paragraphs or larger text. The underline feature on the larger ones help keep track of where she is. She says they help her and stop the letters from "swimming around" when she is trying to read.
