I use meat tenderizers fairly often and have for several years. Not only do they work Greta for tenderizing meats, they also create puncures for marinades to seep into the meat, enhancing flavor. This model works far better than ones I have used in the past. The needles are sharp and work well, but the real win here is the ability to remove the proective bottom piece. This allows you to clean inside and around the needle area. Without this feature bacteria gets stuck and is not safe. The other difference here is that the case on this one seems to fit better than most and has not cracked yet like every single other one I have tried. Great product!
