Decidedly Meh

I was admittedly not taken with this running belt, although it does serve its purpose on a very basic level. The product was packaged well and arrived without any damage to the bag or the product.

This running belt is black, with a light green color around the zipper that is bright and reflective. In theory, that is a nice design for the running belt although I think making the entire belt from a reflective color would make more sense or at least a larger strip. It is very small and the fabric is thin. While the product claims to be water resistant, when I sprayed it with a spray bottle, I could feel the moisture on the inside of the thin black fabric. It did not bleed all the way through, but while “water resistant” to a degree, I would not trust it with much. I would likely not trust this to run even in a lighter rain without needing to line the inside.

The advertising for this product on amazon is technically correct. It can fit most smart phones and other small items that you might want to take with you when you are running. However, it also tends to drag down when you put even just a phone in it, so you have to keep the belt rather tight to keep it in place which can be uncomfortable when you are running or exercising. Also, the pouch is not very wide or long, so it can be tricky to fit any “larger” small items. It fits phones up to 6” according to the listing, so I would not purchase this if you have a larger smart phone. The fabric is a bit stretchy, which allows it to fit more than it looks like, but I fear that larger items would tax the seams of this running belt too far.

If you are a larger person, I would not recommend this product at all. While the strap is adjustable, it does not adjust enough for a larger waist size. It adjusts from 25.9" to 42," so while it worked for me it would not be large enough for every adult even though it is advertised as appropriate for kids and adults alike.

There were some aspects that I liked. It did seem at least very slightly moisture resistant. It also had the reflective strip, which is a nice touch although I wish it was larger. It has an earbud hole, which is always nice if you like to listen to music, the news, or other media while you are exercising. The fabric is reasonably sweat resistant, which is nice for anything that you use with exercise. Overall, I find this would be more suitable for kids with less to carry and smaller built adults who really only need a couple of small items than the majority of the population. For those two groups, I would give this a 3.5 out of 5, but for most of the population, this product only earns a 2.5 out of 5.
