The Mr. Batt battery charger is a charger for Ni-Cd and Ni-Mh batteries. It should not be used on any other type of rechargeable batteries. It arrived packaged into a sturdy but plain cardboard box. Opening the box, there were partitions inside to keep everything in place. All the pieces arrived in pristine condition.
The first thing you see is the battery charger itself. It has a capacity of 8 batteries, either AA or AAA. It includes a power cord, instruction booklet, and a battery storage case with 8 2600 mAh batteries.
The charger is pretty simple to use. Plug in the power cord, plug the other end into the wall and it is ready to go. I did have to look around a bit to see which way the batteries went into the charger. I even checked the manual. Then I noticed the positive battery symbol molded into the plastic on one side of the charger. I would have preferred if this was more visible. Either up on the top surface instead of down in the battery well or have the symbols colored to be more noticeable.
The batteries have been performing well, I use them in the remotes of my drones. They have really cut down on the number of batteries I go through. My other preference for this charger would be the ability to charge an odd number of batteries. The charger can only charge pairs of batteries at a time so it can charge 2, 4, 6, or 8 at once. If you put in a battery without its partner, it will not be charged. Most of my remotes use three batteries. so this was a slight annoyance.
Overall, I'm pleased with the performance of the charger and batteries, and it will greatly reduce the number of single-use batteries I send to the recycler.
I received a discount for this item.
