First thing you will need are 3 AA batteries. So make sure you have those on hand. The item is very easy to take apart. I tried picking it up by the top which does come off very easily. So be careful with that part. It does have 2 settings to choose from. One with all while light to show all the stars. The other has led lights for different colors. Which each button is labeled so you know which one to press. Once turned on. It does fill all the walls in the bedroom and ceiling. If you get the one with the moon you can position the moon to whichever month you like as lists all the months and you just turn the top to whichever month you desire and the moon moves to the position for that month. Which I personally did not see that big of a difference but than again I’m not an astrologer.
