I live in a very noisy environment! I need to protect my hearing from the noise when it is really bad. I really don't understand these earmuffs and why they amplify all the noise. I actually wanted just the opposite. You can hear every single noise ampified up 100% like birds and the ceiling fan and everything even your stomach growling and your breathing. I actually didn't even know about this feature until putting the batteries in.
The audio cable would not fit into my phone. Maybe it's different when it fits the phone and you just hear your phone audio. I don't know but it didn't work for me.
Plus I think you need NRR 32 dcb rating for shooting so I truly don't understand them.
The cups are nicely cushioned and comfortable and the band doesn't squeeze.
You can turn off the amplification but then they really aren't that noise deafening either.
