This is a great well-made torch, VERY bright and weighty which is nice as others torches I have owned are to light and do not have the high built quality of this torch.
the five setting are good as sometimes you want a really bright light in a field at night with the dog but on the walk back you can lower the light or have it flashing so that you can be seen but not blind cars etc.
4AA batteries is all that is needed and you are good to go and see in the dark!
