I can’t say how this works on the dashboard but on the window it works great. I also couldn’t get a pic with my phone in it because I don’t have a second phone or camera. But I attached it to the window on the drivers side so it’s out of my main view but I can still see it to run my GPS. I have an iPhone 6s and it fits perfect but adjusts smaller and wider to fit an array of phones. And no idea why my photos are all uploading sideways :-/
