When your kids are out camping every month with Boy Scouts, you always look for things they might need. And things like flashlights, lanterns, etc. are some of the first to go missing, get lost, or break. I am constantly picking up new lights for them to use. I saw this three pack of tent lights that are small and rechargeable and thought they might be a good addition to our collection.
I was impressed with the size of the lights. They are super small and lightweight, perfect for taking with you and not weighing down your pack or bags. They are small enough that they can fit in your hand easily, but come with a small carabiner so that you can hang them in your tent or from your belt or daypack. They also can be connected to one another with their usb cables. I loved the fact that you could plug one in to the next and then power them all up at once instead of needing additional slots to plug them in. They can be adjusted by pulling out on the light, taking it from a wide light to a more focused one. And they are waterproof, which is always good when taking boys camping. And they can be used as a flashlight, too, so don't think they are only good for hanging in a tent. They can be carried and used to light your way to a bathroom or on a night hike. The light is actually quite bright. I was very impressed by the light they put out. And they are supposed to last for a good amount of time, too. Then they can be plugged in and recharged with usb. The only thing I don't like is the cables that are attached. If you are using only one lantern, it can be a bit annoying having the extra cable to plug in to. I have already given them to the boys for their Boy Scout campout and they are packed away and ready to go, so am not sure if there is a way to detach them or if they are built in.
These are great little lights and work perfectly fine for our needs. Since I have no clue how long until they are lost or broken, I need things that are small, lightweight, and easily replaced.
