This is a great set. The silicon works well to protect you from the heat. The three differnt shapes are convenient for grabbing different size pans and pots. The oven mitts are long and go up the wrist for extra protections. I had another pair that didn't protect as well from heat and that developed a hole. These seem much better made. I recommedn them.
