I brought this for a new laptop/table which only has USB C and no other ports. The manufacturers equivalent was 3 times the price so was not an option. The unit itself looks smart with plenty of connectivity options available. To date I have only used the USB ports and the ethernet but both have worked without a single issues. It does get a bit warm at times, which is worth noting, but other than that there really is no complaint.
