Does what they are designed for

I couldn't review these lifters until I had a reason to use them and Thanksgiving day was the perfect opportunity to do so. We always make a huge turkey on Thanksgiving and these lifters handled the job of transfering it from the roasting pan to the serving platter with ease. The 20 pound turkey didn't cause these lifters to bend at all like others have in the past. The points on the ends are sharp and pierced the bird with ease and no effort at all. They come with small plastic covers on them to make storing them much safer so you don't poke yourself or risk damaging anything else. The plastic handles are solid all the way through, with small ridges on the bottoms so they lessen the risk of slipping out of your hands. The only thing I would like to see added to this set is some kind of storage case, however I can't knock a star from this review since they do not say they come with one, this is just for the lifters themselves. It will handle any large portion of meat you use them for, whether a big turkey like ours, a ham, or a roast. Best lifters I've ever owned and I would buy them again if needed, however I don't see any reason these won't last a long time.
