This is a set of two bulbs that give you the effect of live flames in your inside or outdoor fixtures. They are not for illumination, at only 3 watts they put out light but not bright enough to illuminate a walkway. They are to provide 'mood'.If the fixture holds the lamp upsidedown, the bulb will 'flip' the flames over so it still appears to be a legit flame. Excellent!!
