I'm so glad that I got this can opener. I've been wanting one for a while now. We have grandchildren and one is a toddler who loves to stick her fingers into everything. She's already cut her finger on a soda can and a tin can. This opener cuts along the sides and detaches the lid from the can. There is literally no sharp edges and you can replace the lid to keep the food fresh. It's really easy to use, you just set it on the top, make sure it sets right and start turning the handle. It's a great tool to have in a family kitchen.
