I got this for repairs and anything that might come up that requires it. I wanted to add a soldering iron to my toolbox. I don't really have the skills of using it as of yet. I was thinking about a few things that have quit working and thought this might be useful.
I have a couple of LED motion lights for the closet which don't work anymore but not sure this will fix those. I've had electrical things like heaters and computers that I've just thrown away without even trying to fix, so I got this for anything like that.
It comes with several different tips, the solder, a stand, a tiny little sponge, and a booklet..
It has a dial to adjust the temperature.
It looks like everything you might need. It's just the basic kit, nothing elaborate. However, those extra tips seem like a bonus.
It's a really good basic, solid, quality set in my opinion.
