This item is simply a mat that is plush on one side and has fabric on the other. Each corner has a sturdy clip, which I did not realize from the photo, is for attaching to a kennel. There is no hardware or instructions for making it free-standing. For now, I'm using it as a floor mat for my cat to sleep on. The fabric is good quality. It is well made.
